Aurore Jacolin
About
Aurore is a physiotherapist resident, originally from France. She graduated with a Bachelor in Physiotherapy from Fontys University of Applied Science (Eindhoven, Netherlands), in 2024 and has ever since been working on getting her diploma recognized in Canada. Previously, she also had obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in sociology, from the University of Missouri, USA.
Aurore is always looking to deepen her knowledge by taking post-graduate courses. So far, she has completed her lower quadrant Mulligan concept course but is looking forward to complete many more courses.
Having a background in elite competitive swimming, Aurore spent many hours in physiotherapy as a patient which allows her to have an understanding of the patient point of view. This is also what lead her to decide to pursue a career in physiotherapy. She believes that patients are more than just bodies and taking into consideration every aspect of a person is very important in the recovery process. Empowering the patient, providing them with knowledge, body awareness and tailored exercises are also keys to a successful recovery. During her treatment sessions, Aurore likes to put emphasis on education and exercise therapy, complementing her care with manual therapy while appropriate.
When not at work, Aurore loves to spend time in the pool, at the bouldering gym or outside playing sports or just taking a walk. When staying inside, she loves working on a jigsaw puzzle or building Legos. She also loves traveling, discovering new places and meeting new people.
